An alumna of New York University, Ms. Caroline Ashleigh has come a long way since graduating from the Appraisal Studies program in Fine and Decorative Arts. Caroline Ashleigh first embarked on her career path in the museum sector as a member of the educational department staff at the Detroit Institute of the Arts and Cranbrook Academy of Art. Since that time, Caroline Ashleigh has expanded her experience to include working relationships with respected auction houses, major museums, and celebrity collections, as well as written contributions for publications such as the Antiques Roadshow Collectibles Primer and Art and Antiques Magazine. To date, one of Caroline Ashleigh's most significant accomplishments is the 2009 completion of a $800 million appraisal of an institutional collection.

Today, Caroline Ashleigh serves as owner of Caroline Ashleigh Associates, LLC, an appraisal firm she founded in 1993. The driving force behind the company, Caroline Ashleigh teams with industry veterans to provide a myriad of services, including archive, donation, and estate appraisals; consulting; insurance valuation for damage; equitable distribution and division of property; expert witness and litigation support; and collection management services. Caroline Ashleigh is also a noted public speaker and has lectured extensively on many facets of appraising and collecting. As a Certified USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) Appraiser, Caroline Ashleigh ensures that all appraisals and value opinions conform to the USPAP's standards and guidelines. Additionally, Caroline Ashleigh is a certified senior member in good standing with the Appraisers Association of America (AAA), since 1994.

Recognized among industry peers for her exemplary work and deep knowledge of art, Caroline Ashleigh has been featured in publications such as Forbes Magazine, The New York Times, and Arts and Antiques Magazine. Caroline Ashleigh's expertise is frequently sought out by a variety of media outlets, including CBS News' Inside Edition and Antiques Roadshow.

A resident of Birmingham, Michigan, Caroline Ashleigh is currently working closely with her alma mater to develop an internationally accredited online course for appraisers. Caroline Ashleigh is also working on Warman's Field Guide, which is due for a 2010 release.
